Tiziana Milano Introduced as Blackstone Senior Center Director

At the July 22 Board of Selectmen meeting, Blackstone officially introduced Tiziana Milano as the town’s new Senior Center Director. Town Administrator Chad Lovett made the announcement, and Milano was present to meet the board of selectmen.
The position had been open since April 2025, following a public search for someone who could support Blackstone’s growing senior population. During a May 1 Council on Aging meeting, local residents emphasized the need for a director who would be the right long-term fit.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Milano brings a varied background in municipal work, customer service, and creative entrepreneurship.
Tiziana Milano Brings Creative and Public Works Experience
Milano has held several roles that may serve her well in this position. She most recently worked as Office Manager for the Town of Sharon’s Council on Aging from 2023 to 2025, and previously served in Sharon’s Department of Public Works.
Her background also includes more than 20 years at Brown University, where she was the Lead Copy Center Associate. There, she oversaw print operations, assisted staff and faculty with document production, and handled customer service, scheduling, and in-house design projects.
In addition to her municipal and university experience, Milano brings a strong creative background. For over 22 years, she has worked as a freelance graphic designer, and since 2006, she has also been an Independent Demonstrator with Stampin’ Up!, leading hands-on craft workshops and creating custom invitations for local events. Her passion for creativity and community engagement could bring a fresh, personal touch to future programs at the Senior Center.
Looking Ahead for the Blackstone Senior Center
Milano joins the Senior Center at a time when many residents are hoping for consistency and renewed engagement. While it’s too early to know what direction she’ll take, her combined public works and creative background could offer a unique approach to community-building.
As of publication, Milano has not yet responded to our outreach requesting an interview, but Small Town Post looks forward to learning more about her goals for the Center and will share updates as they become available.
For now, we extend a warm welcome and wish her the best as she begins this new chapter in service to Blackstone’s senior community.
At Small Town Post, our mission is to spotlight the people, programs, and changes that shape everyday life in Blackstone and Millville.
