Food, Music & Fun at the Polish Picnic Aug. 17

Celebrate Polish Heritage at the Polish Picnic at Daniels Farmstead

The Polish Picnic at Daniels Farmstead returns for its fourth year on Sunday, August 17, filling the historic grounds with the sights, sounds, and flavors of Poland. Free to attend and open to all, the day promises a lively mix of traditional food, spirited music, colorful folk dancing, and family fun.

The idea for the event came from the Blackstone Valley’s deep Polish roots. Many neighboring towns were shaped by waves of Polish immigration, and generations have kept those traditions alive through recipes, music, and dance. Hosting the Polish Picnic at Daniels Farmstead became a way to honor that heritage while sharing it with the wider community.

Food, Music, and Dance All Day Long

This year’s Polish Picnic at Daniels Farmstead features even more live music and expanded seating areas, so guests can relax and enjoy the day. Visitors will be treated to traditional Polish dishes, beer, wine, and specialty items available for purchase.

Entertainment will include the always-energetic Polka Paul, whose lively tunes are sure to keep everyone moving. The highlight of the afternoon will be a performance by the Krakowiak Polish Dancers of Boston, offering a vibrant showcase of traditional folk dance. Guests will also have the chance to step onto the dance floor themselves and learn some of the steps—at no cost.

Family-Friendly and Dog-Friendly

The Polish Picnic at Daniels Farmstead is designed for all ages. Families can enjoy lawn games, children’s activities, and plenty of open space to spread out and relax. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to join the festivities.

The farmstead’s grounds are mostly grass and gravel, so guests with mobility challenges may wish to bring sturdy mobility aids.
