Explore Blackstone’s Disc Golf Pop Up Course at Daniels Farmstead

Blackstone Disc Golf Pop Up Course Brings Fun, Fitness, and Community

The Blackstone Disc Golf Pop Up Course officially opened on September 28, and it already feels like something special. Volunteers came together in the last few weeks to clear the trail, set up baskets, and mark the paths, turning a quiet stretch of woods at Daniels Farmstead into a place full of fun, discovery, and community spirit.

We stopped by to play a round, and right away, it was clear this course is more than just a game. It’s an experience. From the first basket across the parking lot to the trails winding through the woods, there’s plenty to explore. A few things we learned? Comfortable shoes are a must, a water bottle goes a long way, and bringing family or friends makes the day even better.

How to Play the Blackstone Disc Golf Pop Up Course

You’ll find the first basket just across from the Daniels Farmstead parking lot. After that, the trail takes you into the woods where markers on trees guide your way. Some holes are straightforward, while others weave through the trees, adding a little challenge—and a lot of fun.

The course is open daily with a $10 greens fee, which supports both the Daniels Farmstead Foundation and the New England Flying Disc Association (NEFA). Just check in by the first basket at the parking lot, pay by cash or PayPal, and you’re good to go.

Don’t have a disc? No worries—there are a few on-site you can borrow. Just make sure to return them so the next player can enjoy the course too.

A Week of Play Before Cider Fest

The Blackstone Disc Golf Pop Up Course will be open until October 5, making this the perfect week to stop by. The finale happens on Cider Fest weekend, starting with a NEFA Charity Series doubles event on the morning of October 5. Competitive players will tee off in support of a good cause, while the afternoon blends disc golf with the food, history, and family activities that make Cider Fest a local favorite.

Whether you come to play or just to watch, the energy is contagious. It’s another reminder that Blackstone is becoming a hub for outdoor recreation, and disc golf is quickly becoming part of that story.

Looking Toward a Permanent Course

The pop up is only here for a short time, but the vision goes further. Organizers are already seeking partners and sponsors to help bring a permanent Blackstone disc golf course to town. With enough community support—through play, volunteering, or sponsorship—disc golf could become a lasting part of Blackstone’s recreational landscape.

Show Up, Play, Make It Permanent

The course is here, and it’s waiting for you. Bring your kids, your friends, or just yourself, and see what disc golf is all about. It’s affordable, family-friendly, and a great way to enjoy Blackstone’s natural beauty.

So come on out, give it a try, and show your support. The more people who play, the stronger the case for making disc golf permanent in our town. Show up, play, and make it permanent.
